The procedure

When should you see a doctor?
If a mole changes in size, shape or colour, bleeds, itches, or looks different from your others, get it checked promptly. The ABCDE signs — Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Colour change, Diameter over 6mm, and Evolving appearance — are a useful guide for when to seek advice.
