The procedure
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic. The lesion is removed using the technique most appropriate for its type and location, then the site is closed and dressed. Tissue is sent for analysis where clinically indicated.

We give you written aftercare instructions and explain how results are shared if tissue was sent for analysis.
